ORGANIZATION The ATAYAL Organization is a registered American 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (IRS EID: 59-3719572). It was founded in the State of Florida in 2001 with its core mission to preserve Indigenous language and culture through activities that raise public awareness of and appreciation for Indigenous Heritage and Wisdom. The organization is led by a Board and Leadership Team that has a substantial representation by women and minorities, especially from Indigenous peoples. The organization's International Advisory Committee is a Who's Who of leaders in their respective fields all committed to leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. ATAYAL is currently registered in Florida, Washington State, and Hawai'i, with a satellite office in Taipei, Taiwan. New Public Relations Director

We are proud to welcome  Amanda Minor  to the ATAYAL Team, where she will serve as our  Public Relations Director  and Journalist for Indigenous Bridges. She will work not only to share the stories of indigenous people and culture, but also to learn about these cultures so critical to Taiwan’s history, and to extend their reach to other parts of the world. Amanda will manage our social media campaign, documenting our activities and sharing indigenous knowledge through the various platforms. Amanda Minor grew up in the United States and studied communications and anthropology. This interest led her to Taiwan shortly after graduating, where she continued her master’s studies in International Business Management. Working professionally in marketing, she is specializing her skills within public relations and social media management. The Financials of 2021 reflect another year of restricted program activity due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the organization has focused on program develop and relationship development for the Indigenous Bridges Youth Ambassador Program. The expenses reflect this restricted level of activity, but the donations surpassed the 2021 goals. Annual Report 2021

The year of 2021 was traumatic and life-changing for many people and organizations in the world. For our organization, we also had serious challenges to overcome. The cultural exchange activities of the ATAYAL organization had been suspended since March 2020, including our most important cultural exchange event, the Tribal Canoe Journeys . However, through our relationships with our partners, staff, and supporters, we were able to achieve progress and make a difference for some communities. Instead of hanging up our paddles, our organization used the down time to be productive, strengthening the foundation for a sustainable future. Having some structures of organization in place, we were able to move forward on several fronts. Progress was made with the four pillars of our organization: Recruiting, Program Development, Partnerships and Fundraising . I.
