International indigenous charitable organization hosting fundraiser/supporter appreciation event in Taipei

Taipei - October 31, 2019 - This past summer, members of the Tao Tribe of Orchid Island travelled to the United States to participate in the Tribal Canoe Journeys. This annual event involves hundreds of indigenous canoe families paddling along the American and Canadian coast to follow ancestral migration routes, allowing participants to connect with other canoe-oriented tribes and embrace their traditions.

The ATAYAL organization's third annual Tribal Journeys Wrap Party will give attendees an opportunity to hear tribal members discuss their cultural experiences, and will allow participants, volunteers, and supporters to meet each other and be acknowledged. In addition, members will share the status of the Indigenous Bridges programs and activities put on so far this year. Finally, the organization will provide information on next year's youth exchange and how its continued success can be supported.

Executive Director, Tony Coolidge, is very thankful for the outpouring of support that enables the organization to put on programs like these. He says, "We look forward to our Wrap Party each year to acknowledge and honor the people who make our mission possible. Without them, the Indigenous Bridges programs would remain nothing but unfulfilled dreams."

General Information
The Wrap Party will be hosted by Deputy Director Gary Smoke on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The English Library. The address is 22 Tianmu East Road, Shilin District, Taipei.

Admission
This event is open to the public, and there is no admission fee. However, there will be opportunities to donate to support the continuation of exchange programs like these and the cost of the event.

Itinerary
The Wrap Party will begin at 3:00 p.m. with presentations, and will continue until 6:00 p.m. Afterwards, there will be a reception from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
