Tribal Canoe Journeys Preparation ($6,200)

The 2020 Tribal Canoe Journeys has been postponed, so preparations and fundraising will be started for the 2021 Tribal Canoe Journeys and the 2021 Tribal Journeys Indigenous Youth Exchange Program. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 2020 fundraising campaign will raise money for the cultural exchange activities as well as the purchase of "Made in Taiwan" disposable surgical masks to give as gifts to the Native American communities hosting the 2021 Tribal Canoe Journeys. We assume that protecting the hosts and visitors, especially the tribal elders, will be a priority for event organizers. In the spirit of the "Taiwan Can Help" global campaign, we want to bring with us a special gift of protection for one of the most important indigenous cultural exchange activities in the USA. We will strive to raise enough money for the purchase of 20,000 disposable medical masks by the end of 2020.
  • $5,000 - Cost of 20,000 disposable medical masks
  • $1,200 - Cost of shipping the 20,000 medical masks to Seattle
