2023 Vision For The Future

 


This document lays out the path for the future of our non-profit organization, including the steps required to achieve our ultimate goal, empowering the next generations of Indigenous leaders to build international connections and develop sustainable community development projects. Our future vision embraces our longstanding Mission Statement:

Our organization empowers Indigenous youth to be future problem-solvers, building international connections, exchanges, and programs that bridge the gap between the sustainability of traditional knowledge and the societal challenges of the modern world.


2023 VISION

  1. The organization completes organizational overhaul and rebranding of programs, adding officers, board members, fundraising director, and other key directors
  2. The organization raises USD $50,000 annually to fund legacy programs
  3. The organization is registered in 3 U.S. States
  4. The organization supports Indigenous Bridges Youth Ambassadors from 6 First Nations
  5. USD $2,000 in educational scholarships provided
  6. The annual Tribal Canoe Journeys Exchange (TCJE) resumes with 3 First Nations from Taiwan and 3 First Nations from the Pacific Northwest (in-person or online)
  7. Tao Tatala loaned by Dan Long transported from South Carolina to the Pacific Northwest ($7,000)
  8. Support the Distant Journeys of Cultural Exchange traveling exhibit, which has already been exhibited in the Chicago, IL and Oakland, CA areas.
  9. Indigenous Bridges Cultural Gallery established (Google Arts & Culture), curated by Anthonie Tumpag. Indigenous Youth Ambassadors submit first culture exhibits.

TWO-YEAR VISION

By the end of 2024:

  1. The organization establishes a foundation with USD $500,000 from which the interest funds operations
  2. The organization raises USD $100,000 annually to fund legacy programs
  3. The first paid staff are hired in the USA
  4. The organization is registered in 4 U.S. States with affiliates in Asia and Oceania
  5. The organization supports Indigenous Bridges Youth Ambassadors from 12 First Nations
  6. USD $15,000 in educational scholarships provided
  7. The annual USA Exchange (Tribal Canoe Journeys) with 5 First Nations from Taiwan and 5 First Nations from the USA (in-person or online)
  8. Indigenous Bridges Cultural Gallery (Google Arts & Culture) expands cultural exhibits to include two or three museums

FIVE-YEAR VISION

By the end of 2027:

  1. The organization has a foundation of USD $2million from which the interest funds operations
  2. The organization raises USD $500,000 annually to fund legacy programs
  3. The organization is registered in 10 U.S. States with affiliates in multiple continents and Oceania
  4. The organization supports Indigenous Bridges Youth Ambassadors from 40 First Nations
  5. USD $50,000 in educational scholarships provided
  6. The annual USA Exchange with 10 First Nations from Taiwan and 8 Indigenous Nations from the USA (in-person or online)
  7. The annual Navigating Austronesian Taiwan Indigenous Visitors Exchange (NATIVE) is established with 8 Indigenous Nations from Taiwan and 4 Indigenous Nations from North America and 4 Oceania First Nations (in-person or online)
  8. Sustainable Community Development Seed Fund established to provide seed grants for cooperative programs developed by current and former Indigenous Bridges Youth Ambassadors. Supports first program.
  9. Indigenous Bridges Cultural Gallery expands cultural exhibits to include six museums and the Indigenous Exchange Exhibits of 10 First Nations

TEN-YEAR VISION

By the end of 2032:

  1. The organization has a foundation of USD $5million from which the interest funds operations
  2. The organization raises USD $1million annually to fund legacy programs
  3. The organization is registered in most U.S. States with affiliates in multiple nations on six continents and Oceania
  4. The organization supports Indigenous Bridges Youth Ambassadors from 100 First Nations
  5. USD $120,000 in educational scholarships provided
  6. The annual USA Exchange with 12 First Nations from Taiwan and 8 First Nations from the North America (in-person or online) and 8 Oceania First Nations
  7. The annual Navigating Austronesian Taiwan Indigenous Visitors Exchange (NATIVE) with 16 First Nations from Taiwan and 8 First Nations from the Pacific Northwest and 8 Oceania First Nations (in-person or online)
  8. Sustainable Community Development Seed Fund supports five programs
  9. Indigenous Bridges Cultural Gallery expands cultural exhibits to include twelve museums and the Indigenous Exchange Exhibits of 50 First Nations
