2024 Financials

Regional Director Leiven Huang represented the ATAYAL Organization at FestPAC Hawaii

The Financials of 2024 reflect a year in which the organization made a huge effort to expand our connections in the Pacific region by participating in the 13th Annual Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) in Oahu, Hawaii in June. It was an international gathering of leaders and culture keepers from 28 Pacific nations. Taiwan brought the largest delegation. With Leiven Hwang, Regional Director of Hawaii leading the ATAYAL Organization's efforts, we were able to connect with key leaders for future cooperation with the Indigenous Bridges Youth Ambassador Program.

Another important effort of 2024 was moving the Tao Tatala, which is on loan to our organization for 10 years from its owner Dan Long. It was moved to make it available as a cultural exhibit for the future Tribal Canoe Journeys.

There were two parts to our fundraising efforts. First, we raised money for FestPAC Hawaii prior to the June event. After FestPAC, we shifted our fundraising focus to support moving the Tao Tatala from South Carolina to Washington State.
