ORGANIZATION The ATAYAL Organization is a registered American 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (IRS EID: 59-3719572). It was founded in the State of Florida in 2001 with its core mission to preserve Indigenous language and culture through activities that raise public awareness of and appreciation for Indigenous Heritage and Wisdom. The organization is led by a Board and Leadership Team that has a substantial representation by women and minorities, especially from Indigenous peoples. The organization's International Advisory Committee is a Who's Who of leaders in their respective fields all committed to leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. ATAYAL is currently registered in Florida, Washington State, and Hawai'i, with a satellite office in Taipei, Taiwan. Monday, July 3, 2023 - TAIPEI - The ATAYAL Organization is organizing a benefit concert event, "Our Journey IV" Benefit Concert, which will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the Beitou VW Football Park in Beitou District, Taipei City ( 英商明星足球訓練有限公司台灣分公司  | Click For Map ). The event will be co-hosted by Ella Wilkins and led by emcee Tony Taylor and DJ Marcus. The event will showcase a diverse lineup of musical acts and cultural presentations from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.   Leiven Hwang Leiven Hwang established the organization's Hawaii office at the beginning of 2023. A fusion of master planner, building and interior designer, product designer, entrepreneur, dancer, and teacher, Leiven's professional mission is to create spaces, both physical and virtual, and impact lives to transform and heal people and planet. He has helped guide people from all over the world in their transformation and growth, both 1-on-1 and in group programs, in-person and online, supporting them in cultivating their vitality, leadership, and relationship skills, navigating the challenges in their lives, and using those challenges as fuel for growth.   Wennifer Lin Haver, PhD Wennifer received her masters and doctoral degrees from the World Arts and Cultures/Dance Department at UCLA. She specializes in women's birthing/healing traditions as expressed through indigenous and emergent ritual art and earth-based ontology.  Her doctoral dissertation, entitled "Birth Art and the Art of Birthing: Creation and Procreation on the 'Aina of Tutu Pele" (2008), is an interdisciplinary, diachronic, and multivocal study that draws from folklore, medical anthropology, cultural studies, eco-feminism, archaeomythology, spiritual midwifery, and female shamanism. Wennifer has published on folk and alternative medicine and conducted fieldwork in Hawai'i and Los Angeles. Bikenibeu Paeniu.  Providing over 30 years of public service to his island nation of Tuvalu, Mr. Paeniu has been a strong advocate for protecting against Climate Change, and is currently advocating for the preservation and exchange of Austronesian traditional culture, especially in the context of sustainable community development that respects Indigenous traditions. By Mackenzie Miller A twenty-minute car ride north from the city of Taitung, Taiwan, is the Indigenous village of Taoyuan, often referred to in the Bunun language by Indigenous residents as Pasikau. Pass under the village gate and a newly opened 7-Eleven, the Pasikau Presbyterian Church, a sprinkling of breakfast joints, and the occasional dog and neighbor precede the route to Niwa Maibut’s childhood home, situated on the corner of the Pasikau village now home to nearly 1,300 residents. Niwa Maibut drives car from Taitung to Pasikau village Maibut, having returned to Taitung to live permanently five years ago, is now conveniently able to reconnect with a physical place she ventured off from at a young age while also maintaining her relationship with a culture and people she never left behind.
